Welcome. Pace Construction is a St. Louis based company with over 60 years of bridge and highway construction experience.
Our expertise is in heavy and highway construction, and asphalt sales from our 10 asphalt plants in Missouri. We primarily serve state, county and local governments, as well as commercial customers. Over the years, we have established a reputation for quality, innovation, cost efficiency and recycling.
Producing Quality Asphalt Materials
Pace Construction Company owns and operates 10 asphalt plants in Missouri. These include 9 stationary plants, as well as one portable plant. To ensure quality and innovation in our asphalt, we run two permanent and five portable fully-equipped Superpave labs with employees certified through MoDOT's and IDOT's Material Technician Training programs. We design asphalt mixes for MoDOT and various counties and municipalities and we are enrolled in AASHTO's Materials Reference Laboratory's Proficiency Sample Program. Our labs are qualified Superpave and Marshall design labs.
Improving the Environment
We take seriously our role in protecting our environment and limiting our impact on it. As such, our company is very active in recycling materials. We use recycled asphalt pavement and takeoff roofing shingles in our asphalt mixes, reducing the amount of landfill space previously required to dispose of these items. Further, we use reclaimed waste oil products to heat and dry our aggregates at our asphalt plants.
Partnering for Quality and Success
Our employees are very active in MoDOT task forces, including implementation of Superpave Design, Quality Control-Quality Assurance, COOP meetings, and new pavement selection processes.
